Traffic Alerts

TRAFFIC ALERT: Construction Activities for Week Ending September 5, 2014

The following is a Traffic Alert Issued by the Town of Framingham Department of Public Works for week ending September 5, 2014.

Bethany Road
Contractors will continue working on water and sewer line replacement. Bethany Road will be closed to through traffic Monday-Friday 7:00AM-5:00PM. Seek alternate route. Expect delays at intersections of Bethany Road and Waverly Street and Bethany Road and Winthrop Street.

Central Street Bridge Deck Repairs at Edgell Road
Contractors will continue repair work on the bridge. Two way traffic will be maintained.

Cochituate Rail Trail                                                                          
MassDOT contractors will continue bike trail construction.Please use caution on the trail.

Eaton, Chalis, Nob Hill Roadway Restoration

The Framingham DPW will continue removing and resetting curbing and castings. Use caution while traveling in this area. Expect delays.

Edmands Road
Contractors will begin pavement markings on the traffic-calming speed humps and installing signage. Expect delays.

Indian Head Road

The Framingham DPW will continue casting adjustments and finish sidewalk grading. Expect minor delays.

Irving Street,Herbert Streeet, Loring Drive
Contractors will begin water bypass work. A one-way alternating traffic pattern will be utilized. Expect delays.

Mellen Street

Contractors will continue work on Mellen Street and will be utilizing a one-lane, alternating traffic pattern during curbing and sidewalk work. Detours may be in place. Expect delays on Mellen and Winthrop Street and surrounding areas.

Route 9 Bridge near Country Club Lane
MassDOT Contractors will begin work on this project. Moderate traffic impact on Route 9.

Saxonville-Concord Street between 'A' Street and School Street

Contractors will begin night work Tuesday, Sept.2nd through Friday, Sept.5th from 8:00PM until 5:00AM.Detours will be in place. Expect delays.

Winter Street Bridge over CSX
NSTAR and other utility relocations will continue in the vicinity of the bridge. Minimal traffic impact.

Winthrop Street
Contractors will continue drainage and waterline replacement. A one-lane alternating traffic pattern will be in effect Monday-Friday 8:00AM-5:00PM.

Police detail officers will be on site to assist in the facilitation of traffic flow and to assist with emergency response. Construction activities are scheduled to take place daily (Monday through Friday) between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. unless otherwise noted. Thank you for your understanding and support.
